I have been active in the NDP since I returned to Nova Scotia in 1993. In my home poll on the distant fringes of Hants East the same 9 people had for some time voted for us in every election. I hustled the Hants East NDP into existence. We were intent on going places, but never dreamed of winning the very next election. I served as President and Council Delegate for Hants East.
From 2001 I became more involved with the provinical party. Like many, I grew increasingly alienated by the cliquish internal governance, until I resigned from the Finance and Fundraising Committee.
